Whether your managing tons of clients or a few local businesses, it's important to understand how you should organize your clients into Projects. This will ensure you're set up for success in managing social media effectively.

Single Location Clients

If your clients operate a single business location or brand, you should have 1 project per client. This ensures your reporting and scheduling is done on a client per client basis.

Here's an example of what your project list might look like:

  • Client 1
  • Client 2
  • Client 3

We always recommend using an appropriate naming convention for projects. Using the name of their brand works best.

Multi Location Clients

If some or all of your clients operate a multi-location (or franchise) business, then you'd want to have a separate project for each of their business locations.

Here's an example of what your project list might look like:

  • Client 1 - Vegas
  • Client 1 - Orlando
  • Client 2 - Miami
  • Client 2 - Palm Beach

The best naming convention for these projects would be to include their brand name as well as a description of the location. You could use the name of the city, or the state if you'd like.

Separating your projects by client location will help you with generating reports for individual business locations instead of only for the brand's combined locations.
